I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but our two-party system is a bowl of shit looking at itself in the mirror.Lewis Black
The original video disappeared (of course) and I hadn’t even told myself what the video was (of course) so I had to go track down the quote and find a video clip that duplicated the original. When I tracked it down I realized that this was probably one of my first experiences of Lewis Black’s humor outside of The Daily Show, which I had only recently started watching on the advice of my brother (Thank you!) and then was amazed when I started seeing his humor showing up all over the place, even on the news shows that I watched while playing video games on my laptop.
If I’m not mistaken I saw the clip on Keith Olbermann’s show as mentioned in this Rawstory article. The reason I say this is because the video is also missing from the Rawstory article and I’m going to take that as a confirmation of the origination of this article in my watching Keith Olbermann while playing World of Warcraft. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. What is more likely is that I caught the quote on the Lewis Black retrospective that was featured on The Daily Show on June 15, 2010 (archive.org) I probably watched the whole week of The Daily Show on Sunday the 21st with the DVR that I had at the time. This is more likely because it corresponds to the same week as when this article was posted. Unfortunately the recent deprecation of Adobe Flash player means I can’t watch videos that were encoded to be seen with the flash player, so I have no idea if the quote is in that tribute show. Damn you, Adobe!
