Trump betrays all the people who swore fidelity to him during his campaign. He is an unmitigated coward, our Ol’ Bonespurs.
We can assume it was fear and desperation mixed with a bit of hubris and a lot of rage, diced and boiled into an erratic cocktail of madness. And if he’s satisfied with his confession, he’s more insane than we all thought because he didn’t confess to his own crime. Instead, Trump committed a form of filicide, incriminating his first born son, Donald Trump Jr., as well as his son-in-law, Jared Kushner — along with his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who’s already neck-deep in legal jeopardy.

On August 5, 2018, precisely forty-four years after the collapse of the Nixon Presidency, another President, Donald Trump, made his own public admission. In one of a series of early-morning tweets, Trump addressed a meeting that his son Donald, Jr., held with a Russian lawyer affiliated with the Russian government. “This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics – and it went nowhere,” he wrote. “I did not know about it!”

Just FYI? This is proof positive that the grand conspiracies are all fantasies. Fewer than five people knew about this Russian conspiracy and yet the gist of it was widely known within months of the event itself. Can we please #ImpeachTrump now?
